Forest school

Our forest school has proven a popular part of the Something-Wild Festival. While you run, we can look after your kids at our forest school session on Saturday morning 10am to 12 noon and afternoon 3pm til 5pm and from 11am to 1pm on Sunday morning.

The sessions will be lead by experienced children’s play leader and forest school practitioner Jacky Pearce.

Jacky will be leading a sensory scavenger hunt within a specified area close to the quarry at the rear of the festival site cow shed cafe.

Older children will be given a sheet of things to find while Jacky can tell younger ones things to find. Parents who want to accompany their children are very welcome to do so.

Flower foraging, looking at edibles such as daisies and dandelions. Jacky am a member of the Association of Foragers, so she knows her stuff!

Grass rope/braid making/making bracelets or crowns. We hope to give the youngsters something to go home with.
